Report: Boat Slipway

17:40 Jan 2 2020 Near 53.582508,-6.105988

Only HALF of the slipway opposite Skerries Sailing club was recently cleared of slime (righthand side). I saw three tourists slide into the sea on Sunday 29th December. I rushed down to helpthem, fell flat on my back, bruising 3 vertabrae and getting whiplash. I also whacked the back of my head but luckily was wearing a woolen hat which cushioned the blow. I ended up in the sea. I helped the three tourists out to safety and changed into dry clothes I,luckily, had. The slip is lethal when wet. I cannot understand why this job was only half done. There were also a number of falls at the Christmas morning swim.

This slipway is not the responsibility of Fingal County Council. It is privately owned by the Sailing club. We do not, nor have not cleaned it.
